Be able to create own catergories

Thanks for this, Daniel. The categories are designed to be global to all users because they have a number of specific functions connected to each of them. We have a lot of smarts behind the categories making it hard to create new ones. However, we are already pondering the concept of using tags on top of transactions.

Some common categories I would use are currently not available (such as rental income). It would be great to create our own categories (as some others have asked for), or at a minimum add custom tags to expense/income categories which can be searched and total amounts summarised.

I really need to be able to add cash income and cash spent manually to cover our entire personal accounting. (Recieve allowances in cash for work and spend it). Would be great to also be able to manually create categories like you could in ASB track my spending which closes next week and hence I'm trying to find a better option as the ASB spend tracker that replaces it is rubbish.

We are looking at how we can do this. Categories are running on industry standards. These have been specifically set to align with carbon-offsetting and other smarts. We are also building in recommendations which will prioritise specific categories. So this makes it hard to create new ones that are not aligned with the framework. What categories are you specifically after? We are editing the names of the current ones to make them easier.
