Goal progress 'worm graph' — see on-track vs actual in Build My Life Goals
Brad Maxwell
In the Goals section of Build My Life, add a progress-tracking chart (like a cricket "worm graph") that shows how you are tracking toward each goal.
Suggested by a customer:
- A baseline line (e.g. grey) showing the pace you need to keep to reach the goal on time.
- A second, coloured line showing how you are ACTUALLY progressing.
- Markers on the timeline for key events — when you add a lump sum, or increase your savings rate.
Why: this makes the Goals section more satisfying and motivating, especially for visual people. You can see at a glance whether you need to pick up the pace ("I need to pull finger") or whether you are ahead ("YES, this is looking great"). It also adds a light gamification element.
