I’ve been using SortMe to manage my family finances and have been loving it so far. However, I’d love to see a feature that allows users to view or export financial data in a Profit & Loss (P&L)-style report.
As a business owner, I structure my finances based on the P&L and would like to do the same for personal finances, working backwards from savings and investment goals, ensuring expenses align with available income. Having a summary report that breaks down total income, fixed expenses, variable expenses, and net savings ("profit") in a clear format would make it easier to analyze spending trends and financial goals at a glance.
It would be ideal if this could be:
  • An in-app viewable report that summarizes key financial categories over customizable time periods (monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • An export option (CSV/PDF) to use for external review or financial planning.
  • Rule-based categorization improvements to ensure transactions with common keywords are automatically grouped under the right category without manual adjustments each time.
Is this something that is or will be available?
Thanks
