In my situation one use case is afterpay. Because the payments come out in one bulk transaction, it might be gift + asset + clothing + household items all in one transaction.

Petrol station is another example- if I get fuel but also oil and a drink, then there’s three different categories.

Adding my vote for this feature, eg when you get an extra payment as reimbursement from someone but you can’t split the payment to offset it against the expense.

Another use case, please add this feature soon! Disbursements through work that I get paid with my wage. I would love to be able to assign that portion a "refund" category.

Quite often I forget to get separate receipts for some purchases, e.g. tools from Bunnings (work) and fertiliser for the garden. Or takeaways/alcohol/cash-out from the supermarket with the groceries.

The inability to do this for me is a bit of a deal breaker having just subscribed. With GoodBudget I was able to do this easily e.g. a single transaction at the supermarket might cover groceries, pharmacy and pet, and my budget needs to be able to reflect that. This seems like a really basic function that is missing.

Yes, this would help, for example grocery shopping, and if i buy alcohol part grocery shopping, it would be good to manually split that cost to get an true reflection on my expenses

Adding a vote here for the example where a single transaction includes electricity and internet (there a few companies that offer electric/gas/internet all in one).

Hello! This would be great for me too. Mainly for income, as sometimes I get paid three months later, and I would like to be able to resign some of that income transaction to prior months.

I do the grocery shopping for elderly parents, sometimes it is included in the grocery shopping for my family - like to be able to seperate out their portion which they will later reimburse
