When I recategorise a transaction, ask me if I want to apply that same category too all the similar transactions in the past

Currently when I categorise a transaction, it will apply that same category retrospectively, to all similar transactions.
However I often purchase form the same merchant for different purposes, this means each time I recategorise a transaction it overrides the previous purchases from that same merchant.
I would rather be asked if I want that to apply retrospecitvely or not.

Agreed, I often purchase catering for work from the supermarket, or local bakeries, which I also sometimes grab lunch from. The ability to apply a different spend category to an individual transaction is really needed.
